Describe your role
I specialise in PPC marketing and manage a number of accounts. Essentially, my role is to help potential customers find what they are looking for on the internet. But at the same time, maximising the return on investment for the client.
What is your professional or academic background and how did it help you arrive at Fountain?
I have always had an interest in technology, and making things better. Initially, I worked in sales, but I started applying an analytical approach and this eventually led to further training into the world of digital marketing. Working at an agency, I had the opportunity to improve my knowledge and improve the performance of a portfolio of accounts before Fountain recognised me by my work, and offered a position!
What is it about Digital Marketing that you find most interesting?
Digital marketing gives you a huge amount of data, and it’s not black and white. Different metrics have complicated relationships with one another and figuring out exactly what has influenced something else is really interesting. I also like fixing things, and in my view, a PPC account can always be improved, no matter how well it may be running.
What do you enjoy most about your role?
Somehow, I have a tendency to accidentally stumble upon “areas of improvement”, which is a great trait in this industry. I have always taken pride in successfully improving the ROI for clients, and enjoy helping my colleagues with their accounts when needed.
What do you like doing when not at work?
After work, I mainly like to relax and unwind, to be able to switch off!
