Cieren works as a Paid Media Consultant, creating and optimising paid campaigns across channels to help businesses maximise their return on investment.

Originally, Cieren graduated from university with a degree in English. Like many others on his course, he was firmly against going into teaching, so took a couple of years working in kitchens while he figured out what it was he wanted to do. After three years training to become a chef, he went back to university and took a Digital Marketing MSc, graduating with a commendation.

His first role was as an executive at an in-house company, and following joining that company, achieved record profits for three months straight, driven by their growth in Paid Media. From there, he joined another agency based in Newcastle who predominantly work with SMEs that are in the hospitality and education sectors. Cieren dreamed of working for bigger companies, with bigger budgets that he could use to make an impact. It was from there he joined Fountain.

Cieren is admittedly, a very competitive person. Working in Digital Marketing feeds that competitive nature, both intrinsically and extrinsically. Can his next campaign improve upon his last? Can he get a better return on investment than the client was seeing previously? The desire to be better and do better is what keeps him fulfilled.

Cieren enjoys the numbers, and seeing the effects his campaigns have. Being able to see the statistical evidence of conversions and, as a result, return on investment generated, is very satisfying.

Cieren is a firm believer in a healthy body equals a healthy mind. Lockdown only compounded that notion, and now if you don’t find him in a bar socialising with a pint of Kronenbourg, you can find him playing squash or going for a run.
