We’re looking for an experienced full- or part-time Account Director to play a crucial role in managing and growing relationships across multiple client accounts.

 

The ideal candidate will take a commercial approach, be passionate about delivering client results and be exceptional at building relationships. They will need strong marketing knowledge, and an awareness of the complexity of delivering services to clients of varying sizes, sectors, and internal structures. You’ll work across a portfolio that spans global B2B brands, high-ticket e-commerce businesses, and national SMEs, requiring a flexible and strategic mindset.

Working across multiple accounts means being able to juggle varied priorities, adapt communication styles for different stakeholder groups, and proactively spot opportunities to deliver better performance and results.

Candidates may come from in-house marketing roles in large organisations, agency account management, or consultancy backgrounds. A background in performance marketing whether SEO, paid media, or broader digital strategy is essential. Experience across a mix of verticals is desirable.

The Account Director role at Fountain will work closely with our Head of Client Services, the Departmental Heads of our Paid and SEO teams, and the technical specialists working to deliver campaigns across a broad client portfolio.

Responsibilities:

  • Understanding the goals, business model, and internal dynamics of each client, and how we can help them succeed
  • Communicating goals, opportunities and challenges with the technical team members delivering the work
  • Building and maintaining exceptionally strong relationships with the key stakeholders
  • Leading strategy conversations and regular review meetings
  • Ensuring strategy aligns with the client’s commercial goals and working with team members to find ways to exceed targets
  • Making sure key stakeholders feel important, loved and listened to
  • Identifying opportunities to expand our services in line with meeting their goals, and laying the foundations for expanding our collaboration to other brands within the client’s portfolio
  • Collaborating with colleagues across the agency to ensure an optimal client experience
    Involvement in pitching for new opportunities, and seeing new brands or services through the on-boarding process

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • A strategic approach to marketing, looking at outcomes and identifying opportunities for growth
  • An understanding of SEO and SEA and be able to identify opportunities to deliver impactful services
  • In-depth marketing experience
  • A strong performance marketing background and an understanding of how to connect marketing activity with commercial results
  • Experience of successfully working with clients with multiple stakeholders
  • A natural instinct to think about the client’s experience of working with us
  • An attitude of continuous learning
  • Great collaboration skills

This role can be hybrid-remote with a minimum of 2 office days per week in Norwich, or fully office-based, depending on your preferences. For a part-time role, we would be looking at a minimum of 3 days/22.5 hours per week.
