As a Project Manager for Fountain I look after our clients’ operational needs, making sure that their projects are delivered on-time, within budget and to scope.
I also ensure that our team members have enough time and capacity to provide top-notch service and liaise regularly with Account Directors to ensure our clients’ strategic needs are met from an operational perspective.
Where did you work/study previously and how did it help you arrive at Fountain?
I graduated from Middlesex University and went straight into a Graduate scheme, here in Norwich, with a local business. I was able to move swiftly into Project Management and haven’t looked back!
Throughout my career I’ve been lucky to work for a wide range of different sectors, from FMCG through to social housing and holiday cottage lettings, my wide range of experiences eventually brought me to Fountain. Having delivered a large scale rebrand and website launch, I discovered I really enjoyed the digital side of things and found my home at Fountain shortly afterwards.
What is it about Digital Marketing that you find interesting?
It’s actually incredibly complex! I always find it fascinating how our insight and expertise can transform a failing business into a profitable one. There is no one size fits all when it comes to clients and sometimes it takes a couple of different strategies to find the best fit – and that can be a surprising but satisfying journey.
I found it really eye-opening just how individual online user behaviour (me included) can drive a strategy and influence the way a client might choose to operate their digital campaigns.
What do you enjoy most about your role?
The variety, as cliche as that may sound! Working with different clients in different industries means that no two days are ever the same. Clients all work slightly differently and I love the difference in pace and ways of working. As a Project Manager at Fountain, I’m not bound by the typical ways I would be expected to work within the project management world. I have a lot of flexibility and autonomy to be able to do the best by our clients and our teams.
I love working with the teams at Fountain, everyone is an expert in their field but no one is ever afraid to ask questions or to help out wherever and whenever it’s required. It’s actually a really special place to work.
What do you like doing when not at work?
I’m pretty active, I’m usually either at the gym, running, or surfing at our local beach! I’m also studying nutrition in my spare time and I make my own candles (I even sell a few occasionally!), then it’s just the usual, socialising, reading, eating good food and drinking good wine!
