Jamie’s marketing career started in London where he worked for Coca-Cola, growing small businesses by reformatting client strategy. Desiring to return to his home turf in Norfolk, he moved to a local media company and developed an obsession with online strategy:
“Sometimes by building them new websites in my spare time that dragged them out of the 90’s and polished up their SEO, user journeys and conversion rates. It also meant that I could start selling them digital campaigns.
I then moved agency side because I wanted to dig deeper into user behaviours and focus further on digital marketing strategy.”
“Finally, I came to Fountain because the company has the same aspirations and values as me when it comes to digital marketing. That, paired with the upbeat and friendly atmosphere made it a perfect match.”
Jamie’s favourite aspect of digital marketing is the power of data:
“You have control over the success of digital marketing – It’s yours to mould. I also like studying user behaviour and diagnosing challenges that can be presented by an audience that may not have been foreseen. Gaining a web visitor is one thing – ensuring they take the action you desire is another and both of those things never get boring. I have also always liked innovation and being the first to try something new and digital marketing never stops providing new methods and techniques that are powerfully quantifiable.”
“At home I am a dad to two young sons and a lovely wife who I spend most of my time with. I’m also a guitarist and singer with a keen interest in modern blues, funk and jazz… known for lyrical outbursts in the office. Other than that, it’s the gym or BMX racing for me.”
