Digital Marketing Executive | SEO
My role involves establishing individual SEO strategies for my clients whilst also developing my learning in all things SEO.
What is your professional progression internally or externally? If external, how did it help you arrive at Fountain?
I graduated from UEA with a degree in Society, Culture and Media. In my degree, I had a brief introduction into marketing which developed my interest in how to best reach different target audiences for various businesses.
I had previously completed some work experience at Fountain which introduced me to all the different areas of digital marketing and I became particularly interested in SEO whilst I was there. After my work experience, I spent time reading up on SEO and completing courses. I was later offered a training role to join the SEO team at Fountain.
What is it about Digital Marketing that you find most interesting?
It’s an industry which is constantly evolving. This means that there will always be something new to learn and discover. It’s a specialism which is ensuring that a client’s site will be visible to their customers and making sure that they have the best experience on their site.
What do you enjoy most about your role?
I was first attracted to SEO because it’s a role where you can be both analytical and creative. I really enjoy thinking outside of the box when doing outreach as well as examining spreadsheets of keywords and search volumes to identify the best targets for clients.
What do you like doing when not at work?
In my spare time, I’ll likely be watching the newest true crime documentary on Netflix, listening to podcasts or baking.
