1) Briefly describe your role
I work closely with colleagues across the agency copywriting for paid social advertising, PPC, SEO, lead magnets and client landing pages. My role also involves researching and creating audience avatars for highly targeted, focused campaigns.
2) What is your professional or academic background and how did it help you arrive at Fountain?
I’m a graduate with 18 years experience within Marketing Communications; the vast majority of which has been client side so I have a good insight into the demands of in-house marketeers professionals. Whilst I wanted to remain in the marketing sector, I needed a range and a career refresh. My role gives me a chance to focus on what I love the most, creative, engaging copy that delivers real results for our clients.
3) What is it about Digital Marketing that you find most interesting?
The high level of targeting and in particular the level of detailed targeting that platforms such as Facebook provide; enabling us to really home into a client’s perfect customers thoughts. Measurable parameters produced by CRO AB testing which can then be used to ultimately increase leads and conversion of ads.
4) What do you enjoy most about your role OR What problem are you best at solving for your clients?
Producing friendly, informative copy that encourages the reader to take action. I get genuine satisfaction when you know something you’ve created will help another person and their organisation meet their goals.
5) What do you like doing when not at work?
I love live music and comedy gigs; I get far too excited and spend all my money on tickets. (Hmm.. new years resolution to do so less isn’t going so well!) I love being creative and making all sorts of ‘things’ – the latest dining table with a world map burnt into the top of it. I come from a family of motorcycle/sidecar racers so I’m often in the paddock supporting my nephew who races a R6 and will jump on a sidecar as a passenger whenever the opportunity presents itself.
